Lennox Head

Lennox Head.

Clear

Lush bushland, crashing swells and easy-going vibes, Lennox Head is a beachside town with a whole lot of chill factor.

A short 30-minute drive south of Byron Bay, Lennox Head is a beachside village that takes life in its stride boasting a coastline that ranks highly on the surfing circuit, a beautiful freshwater lake fit for water-based adventures and lush parkland that’s just begging to be explored.

Running along the coastline, Pacific Parade has a great selection of eateries and cafes that keep locals fuelled up. From ocean-fresh seafood to pub dining to on-trend cafes, every meal in Lennox Head also comes with a side of ocean views.

Seven Mile Beach is revered for its right-hand point break while Pat Morton Lookout has hang-gliders launching off its 65-metre clifftop. The views here are well worth the walk as you take in surfers carving up waves and the majestic whales during their annual migration. And just up the road is Lake Ainsworth. Lined with tea trees, the lake is picture-perfect and a go-to for water sports, picnics and barbecues.

Part of the Northern Rivers region, Lennox Head is surrounded by big-name towns – Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore – which gives locals access to a domestic airport, a university, a delightful paddock-to-plate foodie scene and vibrant nightlife and festivals. Needless to say, this seaside beauty is well-positioned to tap into the best the region has to offer.

A seaside getaway that’s seemingly away from it all.
